The mother of this wonderful family asked if I could please, oh please, take a family portrait for them. Her oldest child is finished with college and moved away and her youngest is busy with work and life. They haven't been all together for as long as she can remember; they were about to just photoshop themselves all into one shot! That won't do. She also wanted a print by the next day to gift to a grandparent. Please don't be concerned you don't have time to hire a photographer - you do! Just ask!
If you've been anywhere in the country this year then you know the weather has been, well, odd. This was taken on Christmas Day. The sweaters were optional, it really was as nice out as it looks. The setting was in their backyard. Don't have to worry about settings, I'll make any location work perfectly. The best family photos are usually the ones nearby, in your own yard or park, wherever you're comfortable. I hadn't planned to do individual photos, but the kids are so comfortable in front of the camera that I had to.
