There's something very telling about the mood of a bride and the vibe of the wedding day. When I arrive and a bride this prepared and calm, I know the day will be perfect. It's also such a wonderful feeling when the groom arrives more nervous about seeing the bride than about all the plans and details. The flawless execution of seemingly simple (but quite elaborate) wedding made it possible for the couple to really enjoy each other and their guests - and it shows in how much fun they all had at the reception!
Quinn and Quetta's ceremony and reception were held at the Vollmer center at the Cylburn Arboretum, and when I first saw those floor-to-ceiling windows I was nearly as giddy as the couple. And then to see the tall sheer curtain backdrop, candles, and flowers - well, it's no surprise the bride cried. After a beautiful and laughter-filled ceremony, we walked to the mansion for a quick photo shoot before an unexpected rain shower (did you see the bike? It stole the show.)
Their reception was set to be all about good food and getting their guests on the dance floor. The stations were full of crab cakes, meat carving, a make your own ice cream sandwich, and don't miss the fresh french fries! The guests mingled, ate and drank Baltimore's famous Orange Crush. The DJ was on point getting guests on the dance floor and moving in their seats. Oh, and he break dances! Quinn danced into the the evening with Quetta in her layered asymmetrical reception dress.
I hope the couple enjoyed their much anticipated wedding day as much as their guests did. Congrats to you both on a stress-free, elegant and fun wedding! Thanks for trusting me to document it for you!
