The FAQ

How do we know you're the right photographer for us?

I'm glad you asked! This is often the first thing I discuss when talking with couples about their vision for their wedding. Obviously you like the style of my photography, you've made it this far in your research. First, take a look through the galleries. Are you in love with many of the photos you see? Do you say "WOW?" Could you envision having an album similar to those for your own wedding? Second, give me a call. Make sure my personality suits you. Your wedding photographer will be with you throughout the day, often for more time than even your soon-to-be spouse.

What should we do for an engagement session?

Your engagement session will be an hour long, on-location session. I typically schedule these for about 2 hours before sunset on a Friday or Sunday. Although we can always do your favorite time of day, sunrise can be beautiful for morning people! As for location, I'm familiar with a variety of places in and near the Baltimore metro. Let me know if you have a place sentimental for your relationship. Or we can go for a specific vision - rustic, waterfront, city scape, park, natural or any other vision. I can send recommendations until we find a style that you love!

Can you help us with planning?

Of course! Your photographer is a great resource for planning. For the timeline, I can guide you on how long you'll need for your first look, wedding party photos, family formals and your couple's session. I can help with big decisions like how to lay out your ceremony or reception to get the best light, or small details like which flowers will photograph best. Since I've seen weddings from the perspective of the couple, the family, the guests, and the vendors, I have honest insider tips on nearly every aspect of your day.

How long have you been doing this?

I've been in business since 2014 and have now covered over 100 weddings and events as well as countless family and engagement sessions. Prior to starting my business I was a travel photographer, visiting 5 world wonders and filling up my passport. That sense of awe I had for each new location is how I now approach each unique wedding.

How many photos do we get?

This depends on the size and scope of your wedding. It's the quality of images that tell the story of your day, not the quantity. For that reason, I edit them down to the best of the best. A typical 8 hour wedding day can expect approximately 400-600 images. The images that do make the cut are the ones that tell the true and whole story of your day.

How do we get our photos?

Photos are delivered via an online, password protected client area on my website. You'll receive the password and login, which you may share as you wish with your friends and family. You may then download your hi-res print quality images from that gallery onto your own hard drive.

How do we book you?

Contact me! Call, text or email and I'll answer or get back to you quickly. We can then talk on the phone briefly or set up a time to meet. Our first meeting is the time to go over whatever details you have planned so far and discuss your overall vision for your big day. It's also an excellent time to talk through your wedding timeline and understand what you can expect from working with me. After that, you'll get to reserve your date by signing the contract and sending your deposit. Payments are accepted via PayPal, Venmo, credit card or check.

Do you retouch photos?

All the images you receive are carefully edited, one-by-one, by me personally, by hand. They're not retouched, but minimally processed, for exposure, crop, color and clarity. In some instances I can remove a blemish or distraction from the background. All will show a timeless, true-to-life depiction of the moment.

Whats your turn around time?

For weddings and other large events, the full gallery is available 4-6 weeks after the event date. The size of the wedding and the season can effect the exact timing. Sneak peeks help ease the wait and are usually sent out by the end of the following day. Engagement and family sessions are ready within about 1-2 weeks.
